Duuuuuuude...

Assuming that this is a piece of traditionally done piece, inking and coloring in each of those individual plant things must have taken you a long, long time!

The bold lines in your ink work makes sure that we can tell apart from each of the objects in this picture. A bit crowded feeling but the composition is nicely executed.

Liking the stoner creature's facial expression. :)

UnderARock responds:

thanks for the review, yeah it did take a while haha
glad you noticed about the lines of each bud too thats cool.

Such amazing shading.

I've took a bit of gander at some of your newest works you posted in the Art Portal and man, you have a way with drawing some of the coolest, slightly demented, surreal pieces of art!

From all that I've seen so far of your work, you deserve all of the praise that you've been getting because of the fact that each and every one of the pieces I've looked at show that you put your time and effort into them to create something symbolic and detailed. Amazing work. I hope to see more kick-ass stuff from ya. :D

SmokeryDots responds:

Thank you! I hope that I won't let you down in the future ;-)

O_O

This is rather creepy and spooky looking.
But I like it.

I also like how my thought process first interpreted as this as an eviler Ghastly and then I was reminded of that Exploding Chain Monster from the three part Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends premier.

Anyways great job. :)

iCleon responds:

Funny Fact: When I finished it, my friends instantly thought "Hey, we should go watch Foster's Home."

I'd buy this T-Shirt.

When I first saw this it reminded me of Captain K'Nuckles from "The Misadventures of Flapjack" but anyways...

I don't really have much to say about this because I personally think it looks good as it is. Though I might suggest to make the face a bit smaller and centered but that's just probably me. Also I say.. go for "Feelin' Green".

tehslaphappy responds:

Yeah, that's what I was going for. I'm a fan of Flapjack. Thanks for the review.

Once again.

Your powers of observation to each and every single detail in a picture serves you well. This seems like it would make a nice climax scene in like a dramatic, romantic movie with some cityscape in the background with the rain falling.

I am still envious of your skills in Charcoal and Pastel. If only I could use charcoal and or pastel like that... that'd make my art related life a bit better knowing that I can use that medium to create something beautiful.

BlackUniGryphon responds:

Thanx.

I think it might've been from some movie... I got the photo clipping from a Chinese news paper. I think it was some desert movie. I don't even know, i never saw it... and reading Chinese is so hard.

This was a hard one to draw because it's on small paper. charcoals & pastels don't have fine points either. :-/

I still think I need more practice.

Thanks for the feedback! *hugs*

Slightly creepy.

But I like it.
This can totally be used in a horror themed animation or something.
If I could animate with flash and if I was to create a halloween themed animation, I'd totally get you to do the backgrounds for me because its creepy but somewhat beautiful and sorrowful. It evokes a mixture of emotions which is probably one of the reasons why I like this piece. Great work and for thirty minutes, this is damn impressive.

CptBeefcake responds:

thanks. I'm always too jittery to make a fully detailed work. These rush pieces are some of my strongest works (although this isn't one of them). Usually my drawings just stagnate if I work on them too long and eventually lose inspiration

Its rather colorful.

And it gets the point across rather well but I think the art work in of it self could have been more focused. The noodle like arms don't give the characters that are present in this piece enough emphasis. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the characters could have been more fleshed out though it does go along with the theme of the piece...

Other then that, the colors are vibrant and I like how you drew your hitler-like character. :)

Angel91 responds:

Hey thanks man yeah the thing with the arms is just a style, I just wanted to make a point and make it trippy at the same time.
